Woolbank Makes Conservation Accessible

The Woolbank Conservancy makes conservation accessible through regional restoration projects, environmental storytelling, and agroforestry apprenticeships. Our 16 acre conservation farm demonstrates regenerative agriculture and offers sustainably-raised crops to the Great Lakes Region.

Woolbank Programs

We restore watersheds, forests, and shorelines through community-rooted conservation.
From riparian buffers to oak forest regeneration, we work alongside farmers, tribes, and land stewards to heal ecosystems and protect biodiversity.

Land Stewardship

We uplift the voices of landworkers, naturalists, and generational conservationists through creative media and public engagement.
Our storytelling projects honor place-based knowledge, ecological memory, and lived experience, reconnecting people to land and water through film, reflection, and narrative that inspires belonging and stewardship.

Environmental Storytelling

Agroecology Initiatives

We grow resilient food systems through regenerative farming, education, and innovation.
Through apprenticeships, seed recovery, and climate-adaptive cropping, we empower new stewards and revive land-based knowledge for a just and thriving agricultural future.

“Unless and until the importance of agricultural ecosystems to biodiversity conservation is recognized- and efforts are made to make agriculture part of the solution rather than the cause- we risk missing out of this vital element of biodiversity protection.”

— Anja Gassner
